Australia's National Disability Insurance Scheme

The NDIS is the Australian Government program providing funding and support to people with permanent and significant disability. It gives eligible Australians an individual budget they can use to access the supports they need to achieve their goals.

iCare Partners is an NDIS Registered Provider, meaning we meet the quality and safety requirements set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission — giving you confidence in the services you receive.

You have the right to choose your own provider and change providers at any time. We welcome participants who are new to the NDIS as well as those looking for a better experience with a new provider.

How to Access Support Through iCare Partners

Check Your Eligibility

To access the NDIS you need to be under 65, an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent or significant disability. Contact the NDIA on 1800 800 110 or visit ndis.gov.au to begin.

Receive Your NDIS Plan

Following an eligibility assessment, you will have a planning meeting with an NDIS Planner or Local Area Coordinator to develop your first plan. This includes your goals and a funded budget.

Choose iCare Partners

Contact us and we will review your plan together, explain which of our services you can access, and discuss how we can best support your goals. We welcome direct enquiries, and referrals from support coordinators.

Sign a Service Agreement

We provide a plain-English Service Agreement outlining the supports we will deliver, the schedule, and the associated costs. There are no hidden fees.

Support Commences

Your supports begin. We introduce your support workers, establish a schedule, and check in regularly to ensure everything is working as expected.

Ongoing Review

We work with you on an ongoing basis to track your progress and prepare thorough progress reports to support your annual NDIS plan review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my NDIS plan to access iCare Partners services?
Yes. If you are a current NDIS participant with an active plan, you can access our services. We support plan-managed, agency-managed, and self-managed participants. Contact us and we will help identify which supports your plan covers.
What is the difference between a Registered and Unregistered provider?
NDIS Registered Providers have been independently audited and meet the NDIS Practice Standards. If your funding is agency-managed, you must use a Registered provider. If self or plan-managed, you have more flexibility — but choosing a Registered provider gives you added quality assurance.
Can I switch to iCare Partners from my current provider?
Yes. You have the right to change providers at any time. You will need to provide notice as per your existing service agreement. We will assist you through the transition and liaise with your support coordinator where needed.
How are support workers matched to participants?
We take matching seriously — considering your support needs, communication preferences, personality, language, and any cultural requirements. We aim to provide consistent workers so you can build trust and genuine rapport over time.
How can you help with my annual NDIS plan review?
We prepare detailed Support Reports outlining your progress, goals achieved, and recommended future supports. Bringing a thorough progress report to your review can significantly improve your funding outcomes. Contact us early if your review is approaching.
Do you support people with complex needs or multiple disabilities?
Yes. We support participants with a wide range of disabilities including physical disability, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, psychosocial disability, and acquired brain injury. Contact us to discuss your specific situation and we will advise whether we are the right fit.
